The Special Collections Division of the University of St Andrews Library preserves and makes accessible the University muniments dating from 1215 to the present; manuscript collections including medieval manuscripts, political, literary and scientific archives; over 200,000 rare books dating from the mid-15th century onwards and one of the largest and most important collections of historic photography in Scotland.
